HDB Power of Attorney

What is a HDB Power of Attorney (POA)?
An HDB Power of Attorney is a legal document that allows you (the Donor) to authorize another person (the Donee) to act on your behalf for HDB property matters.

This document is essential for HDB property transactions like buying, selling, or subletting when you cannot be physically present.

Which HDB Documents Need to Be Signed?
When buying or selling an HDB flat, several key documents require your endorsements at various stages:

  • Option to Purchase
  • Agreement to Lease
  • Deed of Assignment
  • Lease-in-Escrow
  • Mortgage-in-Escrow

An HDB POA allows your appointed person to sign these documents without you being physically present.

Who Should Apply For an HDB POA?
  • HDB Owners who travel frequently.
  • Parents securing their children’s future.
  • Elderly individuals who need trusted representatives to act on their behalf

I have personally engaged their service to obtain a POA for my husband. I was in contact particularly with Ms Karell. She has been nothing but perfect from the very beginning until the completion of the POA. She has been very attentive and responded in a very clear and concise manner thus eliminating anxiety and ambiguity on my part as a customer. From WA to Emails nothing fall short. So I truly appreciate their service and recommend her to anyone looking for a POA. Thank you Ms Karell.

I had a great experience engaging IRB Law LPP POA services. The team was very responsive throughout the process. I truly appreciate Rani’s guidance—she patiently explained the notarisation requirements, especially as different countries have different notary procedures. Karell also kept me updated and followed up on the endorsement status, which was very helpful. I highly recommend their services to anyone who requires an HDB Power of Attorney, especially if you’re managing it from overseas.
