Andrew Wong Wei Kiat


Empathetic and understanding, Andrew is well-suited to handle diverse areas of personal law, which often require Andrew to offer clients a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on. From sensitive inheritance and estate disputes to emotional divorce proceedings, Andrew is known for his genuine care for his clients and for his unwavering efforts to provide clients high standards of personalised service.

Andrew considers himself a collaborative lawyer and robust negotiator who prefers mediation and alternative dispute resolution. To that end, Andrew is a certified Family Therapeutic Justice Practitioner.

When settlement is not possible, Andrew is equally skilled in legal analysis and is able to formulate cogent and well-researched legal arguments in the event that matters are contested in Court. Tan Song Cheng v Public Prosecutor and another appeal [2021] 5 SLR 0789, and WPV v WPW [2024] SGHCF 9 are among some of Andrew's reported judgments.

Andrew is also very active in the estate-planning and real estate space, and he particularly enjoys drafting and advising on both complex Wills and Lasting Power of Attorney (Form 2), including for expatriate clients.

For the last few years running, Andrew has also been consistently listed amongst the Top 20 most visited Certificate Issuer (Lawyers) for Lasting Powers of Attorney (Form 1) in Singapore. Andrew also regularly gives free talks and webinars to members of the public and voluntary welfare organisations to educate individuals on the importance of Estate Planning.

Since 2023, Andrew has been appointed to both the Law Society’s Tax & Trusts Practice Committee and Conveyancing Practice Committee.

Before starting practice, Andrew graduated from Singapore Management University with a Bachelor of Laws (Magna Cum Laude). Andrew was placed on the Dean’s List twice in Law School and had served a term as the President of the SMU Law Society.

Outside of work, Andrew can be constantly found travelling to Taiwan and South Korea, catching up with his diverse network of international friends.
