Andrew is an empathetic, passionate and personable individual who is well-suited to handle diverse areas of personal law. In this capacity, Andrew offers clients a listening ear and a steady hand in matters ranging from sensitive inheritance and estate disputes to emotional divorce proceedings. He is known for his genuine care for his clients and for his unwavering efforts to provide clients the highest standards of personalised service.
Andrew is a collaborative lawyer and robust negotiator who specializes in mediation and alternative dispute resolution. To that end, Andrew is a certified Family Therapeutic Justice Practitioner. Andrew has also been appointed to the Law Society's Family Law Practice Committee for 2025.
If settlement is not possible and matters must be contested in Court, Andrew is equally skilled in advancing comprehensive and robust legal arguments to protect his client's interests. Tan Song Cheng v Public Prosecutor and another appeal [2021] 5 SLR 0789, and WPV v WPW [2024] SGHCF 9 are among some of Andrew's reported judgments.
Andrew is also pre-eminent in the estate-planning space, and he is particularly well versed in drafting and advising on Trusts, complex Wills and Lasting Power of Attorney (Form 2), including for expatriate and High-Net Worth clients.
Andrew has been consistently listed amongst the Top 20 most visited Certificate Issuer (Lawyers) for Lasting Powers of Attorney (Form 1) in Singapore. As part of his ethos to give back to society, Andrew also regularly gives free talks to members of the public and voluntary welfare organisations to educate individuals on the importance of Estate Planning.
In addition to the foregoing, Andrew helms the firm's Conveyancing Practice, and had served on the Law Society’s Tax & Trusts Practice Committee and Conveyancing Practice Committee for 2023 - 2024.
Andrew is a firm and committed believer in diversity and inclusion, and welcomes clients from all walks of life. To this end, Andrew has been appointed to the Law Society of Singapore's inaugural Diversity & Inclusion Committee for the year 2025.
Andrew graduated from the Singapore Management University with a Bachelor of Laws (Magna Cum Laude). Andrew was placed on the Dean’s List twice, and was formerly the President of the SMU Law Society.
Outside of work, Andrew can be constantly found travelling to Taiwan, South Korea and Japan, catching up with his diverse network of international friends.
