Jessica Sam


Jessica’s practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, contested matrimonial disputes, employment disputes and debt recovery proceedings.

Prior to joining IRB Law, Jessica worked in a boutique law firm with a focus on complex, large-scale commercial disputes. She has been involved in various High Court matters, including claims for wrongful dismissal, oppression of minority shareholders, insolvency and restructuring, defamation, contractual disputes, contested probate and matrimonial matters, amongst others.

Jessica graduated with a Double Degree in Liberal Arts and Law; she received a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Yale-NUS College. Throughout her undergraduate studies, Jessica was the recipient of multiple scholarships, including the NUS Kent Ridge Undergraduate Scholarship (Merit), the Yale Summer School Scholarship and the Summer Academic Scholarship.

Jessica’s education in both Liberal Arts and Law uniquely positions her to understand her clients’ problems from a multi-disciplinary perspective, allowing her to suggest practical solutions that go beyond the courtroom and take into account each client’s personal and business objectives.

Jessica has had the opportunity to live in various cities, including New York (USA), Cape Town (South Africa) and Prague (Czech Republic). Her international experience enables her to connect and communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Jessica is proficient in English, Chinese and Cantonese.
